Forget standard opinion writing. This project lets students step into the shoes of a defense attorney! They choose a classic fairy tale villain (like the Big Bad Wolf or Cinderella’s Stepsister) and write a defense argument proving their innocence. 12. Sidewalk Chalk Memory Walk
This is such a hit when it comes to easy-to-implement, fun end of year activities! Take your students outside and have them decorate the pavement with drawings and words that represent their favorite moments from the year. This is a great way to combine art with reflection.
13. End-of-Year Four Corners Game
Playing Four Corners is such a game for the end the year!
It’s also perfect if you’re throwing a class party. Simply present your students with a question and four answer choices, then label each corner of the classroom with numbers 1 through 4. In this fun end of year activity, Have students write letters to their future selves, predicting what they’ll be like in a year. You can mail them later or have them open them at a later grade. Bonus: Add a small class photo inside for a fun throwback later!
